"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." Henry David Thoreau 1817-1862

Horses: This is horse country! The Saratoga Track is 1/2 hour by car, 3 hours on horseback. Riding stables are nearby.

Many restaurants, coffee houses, and homemade ice-cream shops are nearby in Saratoga Springs, Greenwich, the towns and villages in Battenkill Valley and Cambridge, NY!

Covered Bridges: Visit 6 covered bridges nearby, dating from 1858-1879. Most can be driven across, one is a museum.

Foliage Season: The Lower Adirondack / Lake George / Saratoga region produces delightful colors and hues just around each bend in the road every autumn.
