We love Saratoga Springs! From our farm in Greenwich, it is just a short drive, barely 25 minutes to Broadway, Saratoga's main street. Turn left onto Broadway and you will find great restaurants and fine apparel, book and jewelry shops. Turn right and in less than 5 minutes you are at Skidmore College, home of the Tang Art Museum. You will pass many beautiful sights along the way, fine old high Victorian hotels and grand, elegant homes from 100 years ago. We love Saratoga Springs because it has so much to see and enjoy, a quaint city that has been well loved and cared for, keeping all the beauty of the past. Saratoga is an architecture junkie's dream. It is one of the most walkable cities in our country. We find hours of pleasure viewing the lavish architecture, the museums and the gardens of Saratoga State Park and Yaddo, the artists and writers colony. Our guests look forward each year to our racing season for the finest thoroughbred horses-36 days of racing from late July through Labor Day, at one of the most beautiful and friendly race tracks anywhere. Of course, there are the famous mineral baths that have attracted guests for over 100 years. We cannot overlook Saratoga Performing Arts Center, which offers a full season each year of symphony and classical ballet (the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York City Ballet). How easy it is to visit SPAC from your bed & breakfast stay in Greenwich. Every school child knows that America won it's independence in Oct 1777 on the battlefields at Saratoga. Many of our guests have made their pilgrimage, with their children, to walk the fields where the actual struggle took place.
